Ashante Dujour is an eccentric young adult currently perfecting her final years at Howard University as a Digital Design major.
From Pittsburgh, PA, Ashante began her professional artistic journey early on as a visual arts major at Pittsburgh CAPA 6-12. Ashante has since found herself drawn to exploring and developing rebranding and layout design skills.
When she first got into Howard University, she notes she was actually accepted as a business major but soon transferred to the College of Fine Arts. She wanted to apply herself to her community in a way she felt most adept at, and that way happened to be through design.
“I realized I was trying to do what everyone said was best instead of listening to my gut feeling. The best gift I gave myself was introspection. I had to trust myself and change my path.”
Since then, Ashante has been a magnet to working with Black creatives through her internship with Ojii Creative, a design consulting agency founded by Howard University Alumni, Madison Metivier and James June.
